Hervé Alagiraude - France

For several years, Hervé Alagiraude expressed himself through photography exclusively, setting his own limits and restricting himself to reproducing what he saw. Painting turned out to be for him an inexhaustible source of exploration and artistic discovery.

Figurative for ten years, an abstract trial was for him the turning point in 2000. Dripping is part of his painting, which is meant to be joyful and relaxed, totally opposed to the lines and collages which reflect his vision of the world. Oversimplified, the lines represent the essential. Everyday life, landscapes and references appear as straight lines. Depending on the techniques he uses, oil painting as well as acrylic, straight lines are more or less marked.
